Lighthouse Inn Motel

We were told online that the room we booked slept three, but on arrival they added random charges of another $75 because the motel said it had to "make money off the third person." When I asked to speak to the manager, she snapped at me and was extremely rude. The room was dirty, including the towels, and apparently we were lucky to get one of the "newly renovated" rooms. There were exposed live wires all over, so I didn't feel safe. Super disgusting and disappointing, and a rip-off.

The bathroom had a large amount of black mold, and the carpet was wet in random spots. The bed was basically a foam brick covered with an old mattress skin, on a frame propped up by bricks. It felt like sleeping on a carpeted floor. I stayed two days and left covered in bites, with a massive flea problem. The door could easily be opened with a credit card, so I wouldn't leave belongings in the room. If your choice is this place or your vehicle, do yourself a favor and sleep in your vehicle.

I went in on June 28 and used the phone at reception to ask for a room. The woman said okay and came upstairs. I handed over my driver's license and credit card. She kept looking at the card, then asked if it was mine, even though the name matched the ID in her hand. Maybe she didn't like the card, or maybe she didn't like me, but then she said there were no rooms. If you're going to say there are no rooms, say it before staring at and inspecting my credit card.

The bathroom had visible hair, there was dried liquid on the bedside table, and the sheets and comforter had cigarette burns. We had no choice that night because every other hotel was full. The bed felt so revolting that we slept on top of it in our clothes, and it was the most uncomfortable night ever.
