The Park Hotel London

We stayed two nights at the Park Hotel after I had a procedure at St. Josephs Hospital, just down the street. The room was clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. We ordered room service from nextdoor Jack Astors and really enjoyed the food. Breakfast was buffet-style, small but pleasant. It was a quiet, enjoyable stay in downtown London, Ontario, and we’d book again.

The rooms are definitely spacious, the layout worked well, and I had no issues with the amenities while staying for my son's hockey tournament. But the hot water takes ages to reach the shower, sometimes upwards of 10 minutes, and the sliding barn doors were installed poorly and are very hard to move. Those are small problems. What really bothered me was the separate parking charge. It should be included in the price, and all that eye rolling at bill time isn’t worth it. Anyways,

During my husband’s two-week hospitalization, the staff made a difficult time much easier for me and for the friends and family who visited. Ryan, the manager, went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. When I asked for extra pillows, a larger fridge, and another chair, they were brought up right away. We were impressed by the cleanliness, welcoming staff, pleasant atmosphere, and their willingness to accommodate requests. The breakfast buffet, coffee and tea service, underground parking, available cabs, microwave, and fridge were all helpful. The hotel is seven minutes from University Hospital, with several good restaurants within walking distance. I’ve told people at the hospital about the wonderful service for others who need to stay away from home. Thank you, Ryan and your team. Linda

A nice upgrade from a traditional motel room. Ours was an updated suite, with a king bedroom behind sliding doors, plus a sitting area with a TV, desk, and coffee station. The vanity is in the closet vestibule, separate from the toilet and shower, which is handy when two people are getting ready at different times. It’s very close to st Joseph hospital, and several restaurants are an easy walk away. Booking direct gets you medical rates. There’s gated underground parking accessed with the room card, and an elevator up to the suites. We’re looking forward to trying the complimentary continental breakfast in the morning.
