Tall Timbers Resort

We've stayed here every year since 2009, and have been coming to the lake since 1997. The owners are cheerful and go out of their way to help, whether our car won't start, our boat gets away during launching, or we need outboard motor repairs. Sometimes they have to leave the resort for personal things, but they make sure we have what we need first. We appreciate being able to use their Wi-Fi to catch up on emails. For a relaxing nature getaway and maybe some trout fishing, we highly recommend Tall Timbers Resort.

We stayed in cabin #7, which was very clean and had all we needed, including hot water, comfortable beds, and a full kitchen. Tall Timbers is family run and family friendly, a peaceful, beautiful place to get away from it all. The owners are hospitable and work hard to make sure your stay is relaxing. You can fish, swim, sit by a campfire, or just take in the beauty around you. It's an amazing little piece of paradise, and I'd absolutely recommend Tall Timbers Resort.

Our first campsite on a two-week road trip up North was a great way to kick things off. My husband and I stayed at a tent site a short walk from the docks, and the boat rentals and friendly owners were highlights. The site was a bit overgrown and there were lots of mosquitoes, but a can of DEET easily sorted that out. The shore was pretty slimy, so shallow swimming wasn't ideal. Once we took a boat out to the middle of the lake and wore water shoes, it wasn't an issue. The water was glorious for swimming once you get past the reeds. We had a phenomenal time and would love to come back to fish for lake trout.

We loved the beautiful lake, the nice resort, and the friendly owners. Our cabin had a full kitchen, bathroom, a queen-size bed with a loft, and a dock for our boat right out front. There was also a fire pit. Wi-Fi was limited to email, and cell service had a few bars. The store has ice cream and necessities, and there's a boat launch too. We can't wait to stay here again.
