The Homeport Motel

We stayed at Homeport Motel in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, during a recent road trip around the province and had a wonderful visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, and it was a great base for exploring town and the surrounding area. Vedat and the staff stood out for their kindness and service. They were welcoming, quick to respond, and very helpful, and it was clear they cared about guests having a good stay. We appreciated their hospitality and would gladly come back. Highly recommended for a visit to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

I was pleasantly surprised by this motel. Our room was clean, modern, and quiet, with a comfortable bed, kitchenette, big TV, and a huge bathroom with a nice shower. It was accessible for wheelchairs. Entry was simple with a keypad, and they texted the instructions, so there was no need to visit a desk. The price was good too. Checkout at 10:30 was a bit earlier than I would have liked, but I was very pleased with the stay.

We booked at the last minute, around 5:30 pm, then arrived about 9 that same night. For the reasonable price, we got comfortable beds, a very large walk-in shower, and a clean room. There was a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster, even though there's no food service on site. It was a two-minute drive to the venue where we were spending Saturday and Sunday. I assume the motel's two-star rating is because it doesn't serve food. My wife and I would stay again in a heartbeat.

We arrived late in the evening, and the simple self check-in and checkout were much appreciated. The room was fully updated and extremely clean, even cleaner than the Marriott. The bathroom had been designed with barrier-free access in mind. It was very quiet, with no sounds from other guests or elsewhere. For the price, it was great value and seemed thoughtfully set up for people with limited mobility or older travelers. We booked just one night without expecting much and were surprised by the quality.
