We especially loved sitting on the oceanfront patio, taking in the view and watching for wildlife. Orca Lodge in Sointula on Malcolm Island was a wonderful place to stay, with a comfortable, well equipped suite and a host who was helpful and quick to respond throughout. The setting right on the ocean is peaceful and scenic. Highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

That stunning view alone makes the lodge worth a stay. The apartment had everything we needed for our days on Malcolm Island, and Lynne was an excellent remote host. She communicated well before and after, shared tips, and checked that everything was to our satisfaction. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Tina had left treats on the counter and glasses in the freezer for us, which was such a nice touch. The place was clean and stocked so well, with a beautiful view and whales right out front. Yay Orca lodge, well done!

Lynne made our holiday feel perfect through all her thoughtfulness and care for guests. The setting and location are lovely, and the whole place has a peaceful, unique feel that makes for a memorable getaway. I can’t recommend the orca lodge enough. Five stars!

We’ve stayed here a couple of times and like how it’s right on the beach, just outside the core of Sointula. The full kitchen and comfortable sitting areas make it easy to settle in. There’s also a small deck where you can watch the ocean and fishing vessels go by. The host’s clear instructions made getting in and preparing for the trip straightforward. Sointula is quiet, a good place to take a break and chill without much distraction.
