Comfort Hotel

The hotel was in good shape overall, and the indoor pool and hot breakfast were nice. My room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Check-in and checkout were pleasant. I picked this place because the main areas are walkable: the falls are about 1 1/2 mile away, Clifton Street is 3/4 mile away, and there are lots of nearby restaurants. Dogs cost $40.00 plus tax, and parking is $20.00 plus tax per day, which didn’t seem outrageous since parking costs extra everywhere. The first night had a bunch of very loud drunks in the lobby, but the other nights were quiet. One caution: weed smokers are common in the area, and the smell can be overwhelming.

Breakfast was a highlight for us. We were seated until 9:55 AM, and just before closing the chef came out to each table to ask how the food was and whether anyone needed anything. She was kind and attentive. We stayed at Comfort Inn Niagara Falls and booked two rooms, both clean and very nice. The rooms had complimentary coffee, and the washrooms were stocked with lotion, soap, shampoo, and shower caps. We had to ask separately for toothpaste. The lobby was small, but we waited comfortably for our ride without any disturbance. It was a nice touch to have complimentary coffee, warm water, ice, lemon water available all the time, plus cookies on arrival. We didn’t use the heated swimming pool, but saw lots of kids and families enjoying it. Everyone on staff, from reception to maintenance, was humble, polite, and respectful. I don’t know the maintenance worker’s name, but he was very kind and talked with my kids. We had a pleasant, comfortable, stress-free stay and would come back. One small suggestion: turkey or chicken sausage would give guests who don’t eat pork another breakfast option, since there’s pork sausage and bacon now. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Parking was a mess. Since it was winter, many spaces seemed to have been plowed in, leaving people to park awkwardly and risk damaging their vehicles. The room itself was clean and great apart from a couple of pubic hairs on the pillows. Another staff member quickly brought us extra blankets, and breakfast was simple but satisfactory for the price. The night staff member seemed miserable and difficult to communicate with, as if she hated her job. I’d stay again, but would probably bring my own blankets and pillowcases because of the hair issue.

The rooms are compact and on the small side, but everything looked fresh after a complete renovation. The colors and sleek furniture felt current, the bathrooms were spotless, and the air was fresh. The comfortable beds and warm lighting gave the place a boutique feel without the high price. I’d take a small, clean, newly renovated room over a large, outdated hotel with a musty smell any day. Staff were friendly and professional, and check-in was quick. Parking was convenient, with restaurants and coffee shops nearby and the falls just a short drive away. Large towels are only available if you ask, which was a little inconvenient. Comfort Hotel felt clean, cozy, modern, and affordable, a good fit for a short stay or weekend in Niagara Falls.
