Restaurant at Regency Athletic Resort

Good place to meet friends and play sports, with good food and cheap drinks. My issue is that the food costs too much for what you get.

The chicken wings and wontons are decent, and it's a good place for bar food and drinks. It gets busy when there's live music, so grab a cold one and check out a band. Summer is especially good: Friday nights have live bands and drop-in volleyball for $8. Great venue.

The servers were so friendly, but we left hungry after waiting two and a half hours. We went for supper and a band last Saturday, ordered at 6:00, then left at 8:30 without our food. We were told something about them being overbooked. We'll never go back.

My husband and I supported this place for years, including volleyball and, more recently, pickleball leagues over at least a decade. We also ate at the restaurant weekly during sports seasons. After how the owner treated us tonight, we won't support it again. We asked if a coupon we'd bought before Covid was still valid. One owner pretended to tear it up and called it garbage. When we said we'd paid cash, he said it was worthless and judged us for going around places with coupons. I told him there was no need to be rude, since we were only asking if we could use it. He called me “baby,” so I told him to get lost. Then he started filming me while loudly berating us for trying to use the coupon. He was extremely aggressive and rude. They clearly don't appreciate the people who have supported them. Please don't support this establishment.
