Chestnut Inn Bed and Breakfast

Breakfast was a highlight, with a big spread and some fantastic French toast. Since the inn only has room for a few people, it was easy to have nice conversations with guests from all over. We’d definitely like to visit again. Check-in was simple, and the staff were accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed sat a bit high and the mattress was on the firm side, but we still slept well. There weren’t many power outlets, though we managed. Clifton Hill was fairly close, just a quick drive down one street.

Robin made the stay feel welcoming and kept everything very clean. She was a wonderful hostess, and breakfast in the dining room was tasty. Our room at Chestnut Inn had a charming four poster bed, a cozy alcove bed beneath the window, a claw foot tub, and our own balcony. We enjoyed our recent visit so much. The falls are a lovely walk from the inn, and we’ll come back next time we’re in Niagara Falls.

We really enjoyed staying here, and breakfast was fantastic in a lovely homey setting. Robin and Sue were wonderful, friendly, and professional. We also had lovely conversations over breakfast with people from across Ontario and the US. Thanks to you all, and special greetings to everyone we met.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, but you may find better accommodation elsewhere. The room had some cheap touches that took away from the feel: the fireplace didn’t work, there was no shampoo, and the toilet paper was single ply. Since the stay already costs a significant amount, spending a few extra dollars on those small things could help bring people back. One of the owners smoked a lot, and the room reeked of cigarette smoke, so they must smoke inside or on a balcony. The property itself is scenic and spacious, only a couple of minutes from Niagara Falls’ main streets. There’s a bus stop right outside, and a We Go pass is $13 for 24 hours, which I’d highly recommend.
