Park Inn - by Choice Hotels, Sydney

The location is decent, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. There was only one lamp, so the lighting was very dim, and the floor planks were unevenly installed. The washroom had no garbage bin, and there was no clock in the bedroom. We also found drain flies and a dead cockroach in the washroom. On top of all that, the Wi-Fi in our rooms didn’t work. I’m surprised Radisson would put its name on this. It’s more like a passable low-budget motel.

The staff were the one good part. They helped us through the problems, and the beds were clean, but the building and rooms are in rough shape. In the first room, the internet was terrible, the painted walls were battered, and the TV wouldn’t connect to the Bell system. We were moved to a larger second room, but there were bugs, and the bathroom walls were already in poor condition even though the room looked like it had been renovated. This doesn’t live up to the Radisson name, and I was hugely disappointed. I’d only stay here if I needed somewhere to sleep for the night.

I’m not sure I’d stay there again. The fridge still had old food in it, and I couldn’t tell whether the sheets had been changed.

It’s in a good location, but the hotel is dated. For around $120, it was still better than sleeping in our van. The attached restaurant was poor quality, and the cook was arguing with a customer. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
