Manning Park Resort

We came away feeling rested and happy after three days at Manning Park Resort. Everything felt calm and refreshing, and the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful, just right for getting back to nature as a family. The kids loved being there, whether they were exploring or just playing and relaxing in a safe, welcoming place. Our cabin was clean, cozy, and well cared for, so settling in was easy and comfortable from the start. Things were well organized too. We’d happily return, and I’d recommend it to families after a cozy, clean, memorable getaway.

The room was pretty basic, and the place feels a little dated, though it’s generally well maintained. What makes it worthwhile is stepping straight out into that pristine snowy alpine setting. Even with the hotel and resort fully booked, it felt quiet, and the front desk staff were really friendly.

A tree fell and caused a power outage involving BC Hydro, but the staff handled it calmly, efficiently, and with real care. Everyone was kind and accommodating while the resort worked through the disruption. Getting there was difficult because Highway 3 repairs meant taking an alternate route that took nearly three times the usual travel time. It was still absolutely worth the trip. Manning Park Resort was clean, well kept, and welcoming, and it was clear the team was doing its best to look after guests during this stretch. We were impressed enough to book for next winter already. Thanks to the whole team for being so warm and professional through a challenging time.

The room we first booked turned out to be too small for our family. The staff kindly helped us move from a small queen room to a mini suite, and then to a cabin, which made us feel very welcome and cared for. It was our first visit to Manning Park, and we weren’t sure we’d make it after Highway 3 was closed from Hope to Manning Park at the beginning. We debated going, then decided to go anyway. In the end, it was a very pleasant stay.
