La maison Rose Alma Couette et Café

The owners keep improving Rose Alma with the same care they put into everything else. We saw a guest mention wanting a better door lock, and it was installed the very next day. Not every detail may be perfect for every guest, but they’re quick to respond. For me, the food was almost too tempting: despite being under doctor's orders to eat a spare diet, I had one of their pains au chocolat four days in a row. We’ve travelled coast to coast across Canada and the US in our van, and we’ve never had a better B&B experience. The homemade food is magnificent, the rooms are genuinely artistic, the hosts are wonderfully responsive, and the price is among the lowest around. Their creativity comes from a remarkable range of skills and experiences, and you can see it in details like discarded doors turned into art and a room painted in four different muted colors. Even the homemade blueberry scones look beautiful. What makes it all work is that the owners bring a daily self-improvement ethic from traditional martial arts into their business. Their inventiveness and care make this place feel unlike anywhere else. I can see why someone might doubt a review this enthusiastic, but we have no connection to them. Rose Alma was simply that good.

Breakfast was homemade and great, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. La Maison Rose Alma was super clean. We had an excellent experience.
