My condo document reviews both came back with excellent results, so the building seems healthy and well managed. There were some bumps early in the build, but that troubled period feels far in the past now. I recently bought a condo at Vantage Pointe and couldn’t be happier. The location is hard to beat, with incredible views and better value than other downtown properties. There’s plenty of visitor parking, plus a 24-hour concierge for extra security and convenience. The board and Building Supervisor are competent and clearly care about keeping the place in good shape. I’m thrilled with my new home and would recommend Vantage Pointe to anyone looking to live in the city. I’d suggest getting AC for your unit, though, since there’s no central air.

The elevators break constantly, and I was once trapped between two floors until firefighters rescued us. We were told to wait for the building manager, which could take hours, and were repeatedly told not to contact emergency services. A few days later, we were told we had broken the elevator and would have to pay for the maintenance. The building operator is a joke and seems to think he can make executive decisions. When we raised this with the property management company, GoSmart, they refused to speak with us because we’re only tenants. I eventually filed a human rights claim because no one would take responsibility. The building is extremely outdated for its age. Don’t move here unless you want to get stuck in an elevator and be rescued by firefighters. I wish I could give it zero stars. If you’re thinking of buying or renting here, think again and save your money. It isn’t worth the headache unless you don’t mind being treated like animals.

The staff have made living here tiring, even though some things about the building are okay. The receptionist’s communication is terrible: they cut me off and don’t listen, so it’s hard to have a decent conversation. The building manager is also unhelpful and insists that residents use their plumber, who charges much more, instead of choosing our own. I was scolded for moving a small cabinet in the regular elevator, yet saw the manager use it for his office chair without any problem. That double standard is frustrating.
