The Westin Calgary Airport

The pool, hot tub, and gym are spacious and well kept, and the huge lobby feels inviting. I liked the beautiful living plant wall, large plants, and lobby pictures. The rooms are nice, and the hotel is roomy overall. There’s a free shuttle to and from the airport, and the staff were friendly, especially housekeeping and the shuttle driver. The restaurant was hit and miss, and an outdoor area would make the stay better. Downtown is about 20 minutes away. Across the parking lot, the casino has an extensive menu at affordable prices. All in all, a good experience.

I appreciated the hotel's local Indigenous ownership and the Indigenous art around the property. It would be nice to see Indigenous food choices on the restaurant menu. The pool and gym are great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The on-site food was about what you’d expect from hotels in the area, though I liked the baklava cheesecake and mango sorbet. The main problem was the lack of staff later in the evening. Room service took a while to order because the front desk employee seemed to be covering three people's jobs. Still, we’ll stay here again.

The conference room was set up well, and the front desk staff were amazing. Our shuttle driver was friendly and helped with the bags. The rooms were clean, and the hotel is conveniently beside the airport, within walking distance of Moxie's and Chop steakhouse.

We stayed at the Westin Calgary Hotel before flying out of Calgary airport for a family trip to Mexico to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 75th birthday. I’ve worked in travel for 20 years and run a travel agency handling destination management for group trips, and this hotel really impressed me. The rooms and staff were amazing, and the whole team went out of their way to make her feel special. I’ve never seen a hotel do so much for someone with just a couple of nights’ reservation. A special thanks to Shahdaab Ajaney, Aaron John Basallo, and Gagandeep Kaur. You made my mother-in-law feel so special at the end of her trip. I definitely recommend the West Calgary airport for any type of travel.
