The porch became our favorite place, especially for morning coffee, and the stars were incredible at night. We also loved watching the sunset near Whale Cove. Angela was a wonderful host, and the cabin was quiet, spotless, comfortable, and roomy enough for the two of us.

Angela made us feel welcome with her kindness, clear communication, and flexibility. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. It was just the right size for my partner and me, and worked perfectly as a base for Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail.

We found the cottage immaculate, and the propane BBQ was a real plus. The two-bedroom cabin was comfortable for up to six, with good airflow as long as we left the windows open a crack. Just be aware that booking through VRBO adds a $75 charge. We had two drawbacks: no kind of bonfire was allowed near the cabin, and the electric fireplace in the living room wasn’t connected to the propane tank. Also, the WiFi was weak in Cabin 2, the cabin on the far right.

Angela clearly puts a lot of care into maintaining the cottages and making guests feel welcome. They were cozy, very clean, and in great shape, with a lovely spot near the river. We’d happily stay here again.
