Our room was gorgeous, all stone and wood, and every room seems to have its own decor. The hotel is quaint and a bit dated, but that suits the building's charm. We were in town for a wedding, and my father-in-law had booked everything, so I can't speak to how that part went. We arrived Friday night and the owner was very pleasant, gave us a quick tour, and showed us to our room. He handles everything himself, including the fresh croissants at breakfast. There isn't a huge selection, just those, toast, cereal, and yogurt, but it was all delicious. I'd stay again if I were in the area.

We spent most of our time on the lovely roof terrace with the family. The owner is a sweetheart and pays close attention to everyone staying there. The rooms were a little smaller than I pictured, but that made the place feel even more homey. It's such a cozy, charming hotel, and I'd absolutely come back if I'm ever nearby.

We got in very late, and though the spa had already closed, Steve kindly opened it again for another hour so my sister-in-law and I could use it. I also asked for robes. There weren't many left, apparently because previous guests often take them, but Steve went out of his way again and found one for each of us. The owners do everything themselves and really made the stay special. I believe they're Chinese, and they were amazing hosts, always willing to go the extra mile. This isn't one of those fancy hotels, but it has plenty of character. It's an 18th-century building, and they've preserved much of its original beauty. I had a great stay in one of their suites and would definitely return to the Manoir if I need to stay near Marieville again.

The room was clean and quiet, and check-in and checkout were easy. For a cute little hotel, the price was great. Breakfast had enough to fill me up for the day: hard-boiled eggs, really tasty fresh croissants, oatmeal packets, cereal, and a few other breads. One thing to keep in mind if you're planning to use the rooftop spa or hang out up there: the whole town smelled of cow manure because the local fields had been fertilized.

It was our second stay, and definitely won't be our last. The building is beautiful, and the room was clean. The owners made us feel welcome to bring our own food and use whatever they had, including the sauna and fridge. They really go out of their way to make sure we have a nice stay.
