We've made Knights Inn Kingston our regular spot, staying there about twice a month. The rooms are clean, fresh, and well kept, and check-in is always easy. The staff greet us with smiles and are consistently kind, respectful, and welcoming. It feels like they care about their guests. My wife and I really enjoy coming back and recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, friendly, clean place to stay in Kingston.

My boyfriend was left with nowhere to go after being hit by a car and leaving the hospital. He paid for five days with ODSP, and insurance told us they could provide $3,000 for two months. I asked the owner if he'd accept $3,000 per month for my boyfriend to stay there, and he agreed when speaking with us. But when he talked with my boyfriend's OT worker, he said we'd still owe another $500. That's not what he'd agreed to, and $3,000 is a lot for those dumps. The room was dirty, and I had to scrub the whole place. There was writing on the mirrors, and I even replaced the grout where the tile meets the tub because the old grout was still wet and didn't cover the gap. There was no phone or microwave, despite breakfast being advertised and not provided. We had no water for two days at the end of November. When he was given the laundry, clean linens weren't returned, so we had to wait for the ones we'd handed over to be washed and dried. I vacuumed the room myself. He also didn't have access to laundry, and the fridge was more like a freezer. The owner kicked my boyfriend out over $200 and wouldn't even let him get his coat, air cast, or $750 knee scooter. He still has my boyfriend's other things too: a $900 electric scooter, clothes, laptop, brand new toaster oven, frying pan, all the food he'd just bought, and all his accident paperwork. He can't legally keep the belongings, and because my boyfriend had been there long term, he should have properly evicted him. The owner made over $7,000 in two months, so I can't believe how greedy he is. My boyfriend even found the owner's son's iPod in the box spring. That was weird and creepy. I'm going to encourage my boyfriend to file with the LTB for wrongful eviction and the value of his belongings if they've been thrown out or the owner still refuses to return them. The things he left behind are worth close to $7,000, so the owner may have to pay all that money back.

The room was clean and cozy, and management were very kind. We ran into a car problem, and the owner let us stay until checkout while we got it sorted out.

The place felt neglected, with a bad smell in the unclean room and some strange people hanging around. It was a very disappointing stay, and I definitely won't return.

The location was handy, but the hotel itself was awful. It was filthy and smelled like moldy gym socks. We were charged $250 for a room that wasn't worth $2.50. Be warned, I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.
