Whenever I'm in the region, this is where I stay. The price is very reasonable for the area, and the owners are extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Motel Campagnard is hard to beat in Matane if you want a clean, comfortable place. The rooms have the essentials, including a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and a clean ironing area. Some units have a beautiful sea view too.

We were delayed on our road trip to Gaspé and reached Matane very late. The owner had still left a clean room ready for us and even provided complimentary bottled water. We stayed again on the return trip, and it was a perfect stop both times. The owner was incredibly kind.

Our host was generous, passionate, and kind, and we enjoyed chatting with him. He gave the three of us a big, comfortable room with an ocean view and all the facilities we needed. We had a pleasant stay in Matane. The host had only recently arrived in Quebec and was still learning French, but spoke English without any problem. There was free parking, the WIFI was excellent, and the overnight price was reasonable. Definitely recommended for travellers, families, or friends. We'll come back.

The owner was really nice and gave us a little discount. He also offered free water, soda, or coffee. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, including a fridge and microwave.
