Cavendish Memotree Resort

It’s so quiet here, which really stood out to me. The rooms are nice, and checking in or out through the main entrance was pleasant. Driving in, you’re surrounded by well kept lawns, trees, and lush greenery, with lots of open space. A lovely place to stay near Rustico and Ann of Green Gables.

Those patio doors made getting to our vehicle really convenient. We always had a teenager willing to circle around and open the main room door and screen door when we got back. I think that also helped keep some noise in the hallway down. I knew other people were staying there, but rarely heard them coming and going.

The beds were super uncomfortable, but the service was the worst part. Checkout was before 11, and at 10:45 this lady told us to leave, even though no guests were waiting. She was so rude. Memotree staff or owner, customer service matters. We WON'T BE RETURNING. Also, advertising a dining room and then being told it wasn’t open was not great.

We wouldn’t book at Memotree again. I booked two 3 bedroom cabins for a friends trip in August, but less than a month before we were supposed to stay, I got a call saying they were overbooked and only had one of the two cottages. They blamed it on my booking through booking.com and on not having the right number of people listed per cottage. The front desk lady was rude, rushed me through every question, and didn’t apologize. The options were to change our dates or take a motel room that would double our price. Really disappointing.
