Baymont Inn and Suites Medicine Hat

What made our stay at Baymont by Wyndham in Medicine Hat so good was the people. The management team, front desk, pub, and cleaning staff were all welcoming and caring. The gentleman and the Lady at the front desk were fantastic, and their service really stayed with us. We enjoyed breakfast while hot air balloons drifted across the sky, which made a memorable morning. The pub had a great atmosphere too, and the staff there were awesome. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a convenient location. You can tell good management sets the tone throughout the place. We felt looked after from the moment we arrived. Thanks to everyone at Baymont, we’d absolutely stay again and recommend it.

The beds were very comfortable, the room was quiet, and breakfast was good. But breakfast only ran from 6 to 9, which felt too short with checkout at 11. The room itself was very clean, though there was nowhere near the sink for toiletries or to hang clothes by the sink or shower. The luggage racks were awful to move. They dragged when pushed or pulled, and the wheels felt like they might seize up or fall off.

The staff are friendly and willing to accommodate what you need. I’m not fussy about little things, so the rooms were fine for me. I also liked having shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in large wall-mounted bottles. Much easier than struggling to get anything out of tiny bottles.

We paid $100 for a last-minute room during a snowstorm, and it was great for the price. The affordable room service was a real plus, much quicker than paying Uber $30. The heating and cooling worked well, the shower had good pressure, the pillows and bedding were good, and the fridge was larger than standard. The place had a fun feel, with decor that had its own personality. The lobby was cute, and the building also had a breakfast mezzanine, VLT Lounge, hairstylist, and Indian Restaurant. Staff seemed nice. Just a heads-up, no lotion, so BYOL or be SOL.
