Comfort Inn & Suites Medicine Hat

We had a comfortable room with two queen beds and a pull-out sofa, and it was clean. The location by the mall was especially handy, with places like Boston pizza, Wendy’s, Montana’s, McDonald’s, and Taco Bell nearby. Front desk staff were friendly, and the pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. The hot tub is on the small side but comfortable enough. Pool hours run from 7 AM to 11 PM, which I appreciated. There’s 24/7 coffee and hot and cold water, and breakfast was a standard hotel spread with everything we needed. Late checkout was available: until 1 PM for $25 or 3 PM for $75. We paid for the 3 PM option and found it worth it. Dogs are allowed for $25 per day. A solid place with good amenities and a convenient location. I’d recommend it and stay again.

A quiet, comfortable place to stay, with a clean, well kept pool and a good breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable too, and the front desk staff were amazing. It’s right across from the mall, with several restaurants an easy walk away, even when the weather’s bad.

The staff were friendly, but pet stays need clearer handling. If pets are accepted, they should be limited to certain rooms and guests should be told at check-in. The cleaning also needs to be better. We don’t own a pet, but when we opened the blinds, white pet hair was all over the chair and dresser, and it covered my black dress.

The hot tub is rarely hot, and the interior is starting to look tired and could use a face-lift. Still, we like the place a lot. The rooms are clean, the beds soft, and the location and price are good. Check-in is efficient, and Chris at the desk discreetly sorted out a booking mistake I’d made. Breakfast ranges from good to great, with omelettes and bacon sometimes, though the fruit can be hit or miss. Good job overall!
