Bluebird Hotel

The rooms were clean, but the beds were old and very uncomfortable, and the hotel badly needs repairs. We were also disappointed to find the advertised steakhouse closed and the pool and hot tub empty. When we asked, the worker seemed surprised there was no water, and the staff didn't seem to know much about the hotel. The free breakfast was a joke. Before our stay, I called at least a week ahead, booked a room, and asked for a main-floor room because my husband has bad knees. I also explained we were staying for medical reasons. On arrival, they said there was no reservation, charged more than the quoted price, and put us on the second floor. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

After a nine-hour drive, my roommate and I were excited to stay at BlueBird hotel. The room was very clean, the price was decent, and the staff were friendly. I'd recommend it to anyone.

As the manager, I'd like to thank everyone who stays with us and shares feedback. Our team works hard to keep the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, and the spaces warm and pleasant. We take trespassing and other illegal behavior seriously because it affects hotel operations and other guests' comfort. We recently turned several unwelcome intruders over to the RCMP and increased security. Malicious false reviews only show that we're keeping the hotel safe and comfortable. The pool and restaurant aren't operating right now because of budget constraints. This hotel has served the Melfort community for many years, and our staff will keep doing their best to make guests comfortable. Thank you.

The rooms were dated, though clean, and several doors and bathrooms were out of order. The pool wasn't working either. There was no staff at night or in the morning, and a woman got locked outside with nobody there to let her in. Breakfast meant taking bread, milk, and other things from a fridge. There were two kinds of cereal, but no butter for toast. If you have another choice, I wouldn't stay here.
