Miners Bay Lodge

I first came to Miners Bay in 1959, and it still feels like a time capsule. It’s a lovely place to sit back and forget your responsibilities for a while. Please keep it as it was and protect it, so visitors will keep coming back. The wood keeps aging, and a bit of painting goes a long way, so I hope the new management remembers to maintain the property. Respectfully, Al/Debbie Day

We love the atmosphere and the food, and management is doing a great job bringing things up to date while keeping it affordable for families. We’ll be returning to Miners Bay for years to come!

It’s been 24 years of visits to MBL with my kids. They’re young adults now and still want to come back. We meet good friends there and always have a great time. This family tradition means a lot to us, and it’s worth the drive.

We went back after the manager invited us to give the place another try, and I’m glad we did. The staff were amazing, the food was really good, and we took home a menu so we can order takeout. Our first visit was a misunderstanding, and we’ll definitely be back. That first visit didn’t go well. We’d booked dinner for 6pm and arrived at 5:53pm. When we said it was our first time, the girl told us dinner wasn’t until six and said we could wait on the bench outside until the bell rang. There was no welcome, so my wife rolled her eyes at me and we went somewhere else. So much for trying something new.
