The Insignia Hotel

I've stayed here twice now, and feel lucky to have experienced this beautiful place. It's right in the heart of Sarnia, with lots nearby and the waterfront just a block away. They put real care into the hotel, and the decor and all the details work so well. Susane at the front desk was a delight, always ready to help. Can't wait to try the pool and sauna tomorrow.

The king suite had a microwave, safe, bed, desk, and fridge, and the TV connected to my phone. There's 24/7 gym access, while the pool and hot tub are open from 6am to 10pm. The walk-in shower has a removable head, and the whole place was wheelchair accessible. I'm not a wheelchair user, but it was nice to see. I'll definitely come back. The price is very good for the quality of the hotel.

I stayed in an executive suite with two washrooms and a dining area, a lovely setup. The hotel is charming, and I appreciated all the attention to small details. Breakfast was very good too. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I had a wonderful stay.

The pool was great, and I liked the coffee machine, tea pot, and bright feel of the room. Breakfast food was good. Breakfast service, dinner food, mattress quality, and soundproofing between rooms were average. I accidentally left an unopened bottle of good wine in the fridge, which I'd planned to celebrate with my spouse. Nobody called about it. Two days later I realized I'd left it and called. They confirmed they'd found it, but said their policy was not to notify guests about wine they find. That left a bitter aftertaste. I'm now four hours away, and driving back just for the bottle doesn't make much sense.
