Sunbridge Hotel and Conference Centre Sarnia/Point

The room was quiet, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The property was clean and well looked after, and the atmosphere felt calm and welcoming. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful from check-in through checkout, making the stay easy and stress-free. The location was convenient, and everything seemed organized and safe. I'd gladly come back and recommend it as a comfortable, reliable place to stay.

The pool was clean and there's a large fitness center. There's no hotel restaurant, though Boston Pizza is on the premises. The location is handy for the Blue Water bridge to Port Huron, MI, and the room was spacious. Ask for one facing the back and park area, since rooms looking toward the bridge get more noise from trucks heading to the border crossing at all hours.

I gave it a star because the place looked clean, it's not in a shady area, and the service desk did try to deal with the noise. But the room is tiny and has no kitchen, closet, or even a small dresser. There's a microwave, but no utensils. The walls are paper thin, so you hear people talking, walking, and opening and shutting doors. During hockey tournament season in January, expect kids and parents chatting loudly in the hallways like it's a dinner party, all night. Staff told me it goes on all month and more. Depending on the layout, parking can also be a long walk from the entrance.

The staff are fantastic, the rooms are clean, and the rest of the hotel is pretty good. I still stay here because those parts are great, especially the people, but the Wi-Fi and thin walls bring the experience down. For work, a small file can take 15 minutes to upload or download. It's the worst hotel Wi-Fi I've experienced, though hopefully that's something they can fix. You can hear a neighbor's TV or muffled conversation through the walls, and if someone leaves the TV on next door, you may hear it at night. Noise also comes in from the hallway through the big gap under the door. For the brand, it's disappointing.
