Days Inn by Wyndham Sarnia Harbourfront

I stay here often and it's consistently a good experience. This time was the night the clocks changed for daylight saving, so I stayed in town instead of driving back in the morning on an hour less sleep. As usual, the hotel was clean, comfortable, and affordable. Sam at the front desk gave excellent service.

We were in town for a hockey tournament, and they let us gather in the breakfast area for team meals. The restaurant next door was amazing, highly recommend it. We had no noise issues from upstairs or the halls, and the room was clean. Breakfast is included, with the usual eggs, sausage, waffles, and cereal. It's an older hotel that's been updated nicely. Our first-floor room had an outside door, handy for quick trips to the car without going through the lobby. But there was no rug, and snow wasn't cleared in front of the doors, so the vinyl floors kept getting wet. At least they were easy to wipe up. It was a great stay overall.

The common areas and room were very clean. The woman at the front desk on the evening of 02/05/26 was friendly and welcoming, and listened sympathetically when we talked about our heating problems at home. Breakfast at 6:30 a.m. was cold, including the eggs, potatoes, and sausage, and the waffle was only half done. The coffee was fantastic, though.

The staff made us feel welcome, from reception to housekeeping to the weekend breakfast crew. They were all kind, answered our questions with a smile, and greeted us warmly. Our queen bed was very comfortable, the bedroom was spacious and had no smell, and the bathroom was spotless, with a shiny tub, a good shower, Dove products, and soft towels. Breakfast had a huge variety: eggs, meat patty, home fries, waffles, cereals, different breads including croissants, juice, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, green tea, cupcakes, and yogurt. The Days Inn Wyndham Sarnia Harbourfront has really raised the bar for the Days Inn brand. We stayed for a weekend in the third week of October 2025, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel is a minute's walk from the beautiful harbourfront and park, with nice views and a walking route to downtown. It's a quiet spot, and there's a Sarnia sign that's good for pictures.
