The location worked well for the hockey rinks, about a 30 minute drive, and the highway was easy to reach. There are gas stations, a McDonald’s across the street, Subway nearby, and plenty of local restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The larger chain restaurants are mostly a 5-8 minute drive away. We couldn't get a reservation at the attached restaurant, which is supposed to be amazing. The breakfast was typical Super 8, including that great waffle iron machine. Bring back the pancake machine! We were there for the International Silver Stick, and the hotel accommodated several teams. It was a little pricey, but that was during a major tournament. Our room was very clean, though smaller than most double queen rooms. The bathroom was updated, and the water pressure was amazing. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot, and the wifi was good and fast. Irons and ironing boards are available at the front desk, though the boards are only the little ones. Ask for a first floor room if you need one, since there's no elevator to the second floor. Pleasant stay overall.

The walls were a bit thin, but for the price and quality, that was easy to forget. We had a great time here. It was cozy and good value, with complimentary breakfast and a waffle maker my fiance and I enjoyed. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, especially Sprash!.

I've stayed here several times with my workers, and every time has been disappointing. The staff are rude and unhelpful, show no interest in fixing problems, and the customer service is very poor. The rooms have small wall heaters instead of central heating. They're so noisy it's impossible to sleep, but turn them off and the rooms are freezing. Breakfast is nearly nonexistent, with almost nothing available. The bathrooms are uncomfortable too, with weak water pressure and shower heads that don't work properly. The place is poorly maintained and uncomfortable. I don't recommend it to anyone.

The people working there were kind and tried their best to help, but the manager was rude. She kept interrupting my family to say she disagreed without listening. There was a foul smell hanging around the halls and rooms, and the hotel was filthy inside and out. The hallways were very dirty, the walls were covered in dirt or something, and the building was cold. I was supposed to stay with my hockey team for silver sticks, but two of our families checked in and had a terrible time. One family had exhaust leaking into their room through a hole in the door and was offered towels to help. Another was on the second floor in -10 Celsius. The front desk offered a heater, but they couldn't run it all night, and after a shower the hairdryer blew the room's breaker.

The gentleman who checked us in and Rose the next day both made us feel right at home with their helpful, warm dispositions. Rose helped tweak the room and helped us old folks with the TV. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name. He was new, but very helpful. They deserve recognition for representing Super 8 so well.
