Clarkson Village Motel

For one night in April 2025, this family-run motel was clean, quiet, and just right for what I needed. Check-in was quick and polite, and the price was fair, which is hard to find these days. We spent four nights here in August 2025 while exploring Toronto, Ontario Place, and even Niagara Falls. The motel was clean and quiet, just what we needed, and check-in was quick and polite. There was actual hair in the fridge. That pretty much says it all. The room was filthy, dusty everywhere, with hair in random spots, too. Even the phone was nasty, glued down and covered in dust, like it was supposed to be decor. At $70US, this is ridiculously overpriced and easily the worst hotel I've seen in its price range.

After not visiting for a few years, I checked in last night and was glad to see the same family still running the place. They remembered me, which was nice. I've been coming here since my first visit 20 years ago, and the owners have done a lot of renovating since I was last here. The bathroom was super clean, the pillows and mattress were amazing, and everything smelled fresh. It made for a great overnight stay at a reasonable price. I'd happily recommend this place.
