Auberge Restwell Motel

For the price, we got a fairly large room with updated fixtures, a kitchenette, a big-screen TV, full cable and Netflix. The place was very, very clean, and there were free snacks, coffee and teas. You can pull right up to the door. Another door from the room opens into the corridor leading to the book exchange, shared kitchen and laundry, all included. Our large window looked out on a spectacular garden. Really can’t rave enough about this hidden gem!

My father-in-law stayed here for three months in a longer-term rental while waiting for an apartment in a new building to be finished. The owners live on site and are always maintaining, cleaning, keeping things up and renovating. They’re available for questions or concerns and deal with issues right away. The rooms are well kept, and there’s a shared kitchen. Outside, there’s a BBQ, tables and a firepit when provincial burn allows. In summer they operate as a motel with short-term rentals, then switch to monthly stays over winter. It’s a short drive to anything in the Magnetic Hill area, with easy access to the rest of Moncton. The owners are great people, and I highly recommend this clean, affordable place to stay.

The Auberge RestWell Motel gave us a warm welcome, and the lovely outdoor property showed how much thought had gone into making guests comfortable. Our room was spotless and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed, fridge, microwave and kettle. The shared kitchen, laundry and book exchange were right outside our door. We appreciated the large-screen TV, the current Guest Information folder in English and French, and the little complimentary dark chocolates, granola bars and water. At our request, they suggested nearby Jean’s Restaurant, where the home-style meals were delicious. Check-in is at 2pm, which was handy when we reached the area a bit early, since many hotels and motels check in at 3pm. We loved our stay and will be back next time we’re in the area ❤️

The owner clearly takes pride in the property, keeping it very well maintained and tending lovely garden areas that attract different birds, including humming birds. We stayed one night during a motorcycle trip, and the room was very clean. If you need a place in the area, we highly recommend Auberge Restwell Motel.
