The room and bathroom were clean, and the room was huge, though it felt designed for function alone. For what I paid, I expected some charm and more attentive service. Everything was bare-bones, even the paper cups, and there wasn’t any complimentary water or other welcoming touch. The breakfast was self-serve and basic, and it seemed like there was only one employee working at a time. I was there for three nights because of a death in the family. My sister had booked a room for our cousin and called ahead to explain that the guest would have a different first name but the same last name. Still, when our cousin arrived late at night, staff refused to let her check in. She had to drive two hours home, then return the next morning. That was completely unacceptable. I also came back one day to find my own room door ajar after housekeeping had left it that way. Nothing was missing, but I didn’t feel safe for the rest of the stay. When we return in June for a family celebration of life, I’ll tell everyone to stay somewhere else.
Breakfast was a real highlight, with eggs, meat, hash browns, fruit, yogurt, cereal, bagels and cream cheese, plus a couple of waffle makers and more. You could tell they put a lot of care into it. We had three rooms for our team for two nights in March 2026. They all had the same layout and were near each other, which worked well for us. Each room was roomy and comfortable, with a king bed, large sofa and sitting area, and a proper desk. The bathrooms were spacious too, with lovely walk-in showers. The building was spotless, and everyone on staff was so friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic stay. Thanks for the hospitality.
Harry really went above and beyond. Our room was clean when we checked in except for the toilet, which we didn’t notice for a few hours. When we called the front desk, he said there was no housekeeping available, then came up and cleaned it himself. That’s A+ service. We hope his career goes far with Hampton inn/Hilton brands. We’ve visited the Hampton Inn in Mono twice this spring and have always found it clean, with great amenities. Our family loves the pool and the dining area that stays open so you can eat takeout there. Breakfast has a decent selection, and the weekday breakfast lady even went out of her way to get us something custom. The staff are always friendly, courteous and generous, especially Harry.
We brought a young hockey team and the staff were very kind when they had to remind the boys about the rules. The pool was warm and inviting, and breakfast was hot with plenty of choices. Our rooms were clean and bright too. We had a great weekend and would definitely stay again.
The room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed the breakfast. The EV chargers were a welcome feature, though only two of the four worked. Staff didn’t know much about operating them, and I wish the hotel treated them as a first-class amenity. I couldn’t use the pool during my stay because it was very cold and the heater wasn’t working. Staff seemed unsure what was wrong, and I heard different explanations at different times. I was promised a call from the manager by the next day, but none came. I left a message and still hadn’t heard back when I wrote this. It got me thinking about what’s happened to the hotel business model. It’s a sad reality when nice hotels aren’t well run.
