The front desk woman was so kind. She offered me a free bottle of water and checked that everything in my room was okay. She seemed truly glad I was there, which you don’t see very often these days.

We were passing through on a road trip from Halifax and the location worked perfectly for a traveler. The room was clean, and the woman at reception was so friendly. We’ll come back.

The room had been renovated and was super clean. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and really helpful. Good quality for the price, and I’d definitely return.

I was exhausted from driving and didn’t feel I had another option. I’d booked through expedia for 105$, but when I arrived around 10.00 pm, the receptionist said he didn’t care about expedia and charged me 160$. The person waiting beside me to check in was also charged 40$ extra, and the receptionist was very rude.

The bed was so hard it felt like a bricklayers’ convention might be held on it, and the tub had burn marks that made the no-smoking rule seem pretty new. The bathroom grout looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the rooms’ circa-1970 era. I can’t imagine what it takes to rate this place 3 1/2 stars. Honestly, buying a tent might be better value.
