The food is absolutely terrible. At best it's edible, and sometimes I just leave to buy something outside. The dining hall has fewer choices and more limited hours than New College. Staff are friendly and helpful, and having a private or semi-private bathroom and shower is a big plus. But you share a thermostat with your roommate, so it might be too hot or cold for you depending on what each of you prefers. If I could choose again, I'd stay at New College. It's cheaper there, too.
Just mid.
For design and cleanliness, this is the best residence at UofT, but it’s way overpriced. Meal plans are mandatory unless you live in a suite. The dining hall hours are inconvenient, the food is mid, and I end up eating out more than I go there. Plates and cutlery are often dirty, and staff are hit or miss. A few times, dons-on-call have laughed at me and said they "can't help [me]." If your bathroom is shared with the adjacent room, be aware that the bathroom door can’t be locked from the outside. Anyone with access to that room can also get into yours. And if you’re on the 23rd floor, good luck sleeping when people are screaming in our common room all night.
Cramped and expensive, and just not worth it.
You have to book a reservation every time you go in. The bed is too small, and the shower faucet's water flow is too weak.
