Village des Soleils

I loved the location and the different condo styles at first, and it really was a marvellous experience initially. But my time at Village des soleils has become very stressful, and I strongly discourage people from staying there. The woman in charge, Thérèse, quickly became mean and impatient. She visited the condos every day and threatened many times to kick us out. She called my boss and said things like “you should not trust him” and “you should be careful, he’s a liar,” which put my job and reputation at risk with lies. She got angry about parking in spots with no signs saying parking was prohibited, and about members of my group smoking pot on the patio, where it was allowed. There was no sign saying it was forbidden. She seemed to be taking past bad experiences with other groups of lifeguards out on us, and was always on edge. Thérèse took towels from our condos, and made last-minute changes even though she knew we all had jobs that occupied much of the day. They buy cheap pans from Canadian Tire and, if the pans have marks on them when you leave, they’ll charge your security deposit for another cheap set. Read the contracts carefully and know your rights as a client. There are broken appliances in the condos, including hair dryers, leaking A/C, and toilets, and after two weeks nobody had come to repair them. If you see cigarettes on the ground outside, take pictures or they may blame you. I’ve had owners glare at me, and some have picked up cigarettes from the ground and hung them on our door with an insulting note telling us to learn to live like people, even though those cigarettes weren’t ours. Thérèse told me some owners said they almost “got into a fight” with me because of “the way I looked at them.” She also made me pick up a dirty towel on the grass that wasn’t ours because she was “certain” it belonged to us. She blamed my team for knocking over garbage bins, convinced they were trying to get revenge after the huge stressful experience she put us through.

A nice little condo rental: clean, spacious, and reasonably priced. It’s a quick drive to the hill or the casino.

The condos are spacious, with kitchens, fireplaces, and a private bathroom for each bedroom.

The rooms were really nice, and reception was super friendly.
