Destination Stays Lofts Saint Denis

The internet didn't work, nobody was on site, and the hallway smelled like cat pee. I couldn't reach the owner for THREE of the 5 days I was there. Communication was through generic emails: I'd ask a question or say when I'd check in, then get no reply or another generic email asking when I planned to arrive. They remotely moved me to a room that hadn't been cleaned after the last guest. The bed was unmade, there were no clean towels, and dirty dishes were left behind. The power was out all of day 3, and the owner didn't even know. I asked whether I'd get any compensation for the trouble, and he promised to waive $250 from the bill. I never saw that discount, and then he disappeared again. He did still ask me to refer the business to family, friends, and co-workers, even offering a special rate for a future stay. It may look good, but the guy running it is useless. Worst dive ever.
