We came for the Jazz Festival and stayed three days. The rooms were clean, the TV and kitchen appliances worked, the AC was cold, and the location was pretty great. They left us plenty of clean towels, so the lack of daily towel restocking wasn't really an issue. Since this is an apartment building rented by the night as well as by the month, there's no front desk or daily cleaning. We kept the rooms tidy and didn't mind that the beds weren't remade or that there was no room service. I've never used room service anyway. Problems were harder to sort out. If you need another key or access to the underground parking, you call a number, speak to someone who calls someone else, and then someone else is sent to figure it out. You can't just go downstairs and get it resolved in person. We needed an extra key; the man on the phone said we'd get it the next day, but it never arrived. We managed. We also needed parking for two cars and had requested it through the booking website, but were given no fob, key, or code for the garage, so we parked on the street. The person who was supposed to handle issues said they'd sort it out and call me right away, but didn't. Both cars then got $80 tickets for parking in those spots between 7-9 am. That wasn't exactly a nice surprise. After the tickets, the rooms weren't cheaper or nicer than a regular mid-range three-star hotel, and I realized how useful on-site staff are when something comes up. If I had the choice, I'd take a normal hotel with a front desk and proper parking. This could be a nice place for a longer stay, if you don't have a car, or if you don't need on-site staff to fix problems.
