Radisson Hotel Montreal Airport

We stayed at the Radisson Hotel Montréal Aéroport in November 2025 and would gladly return on our next Montreal visit. The staff were very welcoming, and as a French-speaking family living in Ontario, we appreciated being able to speak French with them. There was plenty of room throughout the hotel, and it felt pleasant. We especially loved the spacious pool area where the kids could relax and have fun. The lobby was large and beautiful, a nice place to sit, and the big self-serve snack area being open all the time was very convenient.

If your flight is delayed or cancelled and the airline gives you a choice, I wouldn’t pick this place. It’s fairly near the airport, but other options are more convenient. The shuttle runs there, though there can be long gaps between trips. The restaurant serves only some meals, possibly just the overpriced breakfast. My room was extremely dark and needed another lamp or an overhead light. It had only been partly serviced: there were towels but no washcloths, and the wall brackets for shampoo bottles were empty. The TV had a big line through the picture, and there’s basically no soundproofing between rooms. If the alternative is sleeping in the airport terminal, this might be a little better, but only just.

A few days after checkout, the hotel sent me a survey. I reported the problems and received an email apologizing and mentioning compensation. I replied, but a couple of months have passed with no further response or compensation. I guess guest satisfaction and attention to detail aren’t priorities. The location worked well for an overnight connection, and the shuttle was timely and convenient. Inside, though, things were another story. Because our flight was delayed, we arrived fairly late and were given keys to an occupied room. We burst in and woke the person sleeping there. After a long, poorly put-together walk back to reception, we got another room, but it was a downgrade from what we’d booked. There was dirt here and there, and a sheet had what looked like a dried blood stain that hadn’t come out in the wash. The bathroom was decent but had nowhere near enough room to set soap or shampoo while showering. The property itself also felt run down and physically poorly maintained.

The manager, Adrian, promised a refund, but it never came. There was no communication or accountability, and no manager was available over the weekend to address the problems with our dirty sheets, which had visible stains and hair. Basic security was a serious issue. Our room’s second door opened onto the yard and wouldn’t lock. The parking doors didn’t work or lock properly, key fobs were unreliable, and the back doors were left open and unlocked for anyone to enter. My friend’s car was broken into on hotel property near a security camera. The thieves smashed the driver’s window and tried to hotwire it, though thankfully they failed. Front desk staff showed little concern and downplayed it. If you want your visit to Montreal to be memorable, this is the place to stay.
