Vogue Hotel Montreal Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton

We found the location very convenient, with restaurants and cafes close by and just a short walk to the US Consulate for our appointment. The staff were polite, friendly, and excellent with service. They kindly held our bags while we went to the appointment. Our room was large, and the bed was soft and comfortable. There was some street noise at night, but it wasn't enough to wake you. My husband slept right through it, and I only noticed because I was already awake. A pleasant stay at Vogue Hotel.

Dinner at the bar was good, with friendly service, but breakfast the next day was terrible. The seating was some of the most uncomfortable I've experienced in a restaurant, with awful chairs and bench. I ordered the short rib Benedict and the eggs were actually cold, while everything else was at room temperature. Room temperature hollandaise is sad, and then there was another $5 for coffee on top of the $38 cold Benedict. The room was large, though most of the space felt wasted, and the shower was tiny. The bathtub was gross, with dirty water jets, and there were stains on the bench at the foot of the bed, yes, the kind of stains you'd assume. The amenities kits shown in the pictures were nonexistent. For a newly renovated place, it still felt dated, and it was noisy all night with bass blasting. I'm not sure whether it came from the hotel or outside. At $600 for the night, it was definitely overpriced and far from worth it. There are many other options in this tier, and I'd rate each of them better than Vogue. This feels like a 3.5-star hotel charging a 5-star price. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

I've returned to this hotel many times, and it never disappoints. It's one of my favorite Curio level Hilton stays. The location is amazing for walking to downtown attractions, and Quartier des spectacles is only 20 minutes away. The restaurant is quite nice, though on the pricey side. I recommend the turndown service. Last time we came back from a show, the room was ready for us to retire. The staff have also been helpful whenever I've had questions about points or cancellations. And I love the smell, especially the Le Labo sandalwood.

The lobby is gorgeous and the service is very good. The main hotel is accessible, though the attached café is less so. The rooms are lovely, and the bed was very comfortable, with amazing pillows and an incredibly warm comforter. There were a few small issues: one room had an unregulated temperature, so we needed to switch. The spare room hadn't been made up with quite the same attention to detail as the first.
