We went there to get away and relax, and that’s exactly what happened. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were really friendly, and breakfast had a very good selection. There’s also a pool, hot tub, and waterslide. I’d stay again and recommend it to anyone passing through Moosejaw.

We got a great night’s sleep and felt like valued guests, which matters more to us than staying somewhere newly renovated. The hotel is a bit outdated, but the room was clean and quiet, with no squeaky air conditioner, revolving exit door, or bugs. Check-in service was fantastic. After breakfast hours had ended, the staff member still went out of her way to find a few options for us before we left. We almost skipped this place because reviews mentioned its age and the gravel drive into the parking lot. We asked the front desk about the gravel section and were told the city owns it; the hotel’s own entrance and parking area are well maintained. We hadn’t seen that in the dark while eager to get to bed. I rated the room four out of five only because it’s dated compared with newly renovated hotels, not because the stay itself was poor. We travel a lot for work and will choose it again over the places right off the highway.

There were still about 13-15 people in the pool when I asked the front desk for more towels, and was told bluntly there would be no towels for the rest of the night. The pool stayed open until 10:00 PM, so I expected dry towels to be available until closing. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. Nobody else was waiting at the desk, and the staff member didn’t appear to be busy. Even starting a load of laundry and letting guests know they were trying to help would have been a more considerate response. We were there for a hockey tournament on the same weekend as a volleyball tournament. Since the hotel hosts these events every year, heavy evening use of the pool should be expected. Towels are a basic need, and guest care during busy tournament weekends affects whether people will return or recommend the hotel.

We loved having the pool, hot tub, and waterslide open until 10 p.m. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable, and breakfast was a nice bonus. The hotel was clean and quiet, with wonderful people working there. Highly recommend it.

After a long drive from Alberta, I definitely made the most of the included breakfast. There was sausage and eggs, toast from a conveyor, a pancake maker, cereal, coffee, and a juice dispenser. Everything was delicious, and I had three servings. The pool was decent, the hot tub worked out the kinks in my neck, and I loved the slide. I can confirm you’ll fit if you’re 6'4" or shorter. There were a few bugs in the pool, but I still had fun. Cleaning staff were pleasant and helpful. The elevator was slow, though it wasn’t a big deal. For $200 CAD, I thought the room was definitely worth it. It had two beds, coffee, a TV, a fridge, and a very spacious bathroom with conditioner.
