We booked two rooms for a family swimming weekend, and I even asked at the front desk where the pool was because we were looking forward to it. The receptionist gave directions and said she'd put us in a room with a door leading to the pool. She left out that the pool was empty. The hot tub smelled like pond water, not the chlorine smell you'd expect at a public pool. Since the pool was the only reason we booked, I demanded to cancel both rooms. I got my money back. I would never recommend staying here.

DO NOT STAY. The advertised pool had no water, the bed sagged, and old water pipes banged loudly all night. The kitchen stove and sink were dirty with crumbs, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and the soap and shampoo had brown stuff all over them. There was mold on the ceiling and a corded electric heater sitting on top of a wooden dresser. One of the locks was broken too. When we reported it, staff told us to let them know at checkout so they wouldn't charge it against the damage deposit. We noticed more problems as the night went on. Staff were unhelpful and didn't offer even a partial refund. They didn't want to see the pictures, because they knew how bad it was and chose to put someone in a moldy room. I have asthma and could literally sue them for putting my health at risk.

With roads so bad on our drive through to Manitoba, we got stuck after the eastbound highway closed shortly after midnight because of an accident. Every other hotel in town was booked for a hockey tournament, and this was the one room left. We checked into a separate building around 1 a.m. with our very young children. It was -8 and there was no heat. The window heater blew freezing air into the room. The front desk said they sometimes give out space heaters, but the breakers kept tripping and they had none left. With nowhere else to go and the road closed, we bundled the kids in snow suits and tried to sleep for a few hours. We took turns going between the room and our truck with its engine running, then got back on the road first thing in the morning. The kids were terrified and crying the whole time because we could hear mice in the ceiling and walls. The room was filthy. Water sprayed from the back of the toilet when flushed, so we had to use it without flushing. The beds only had loose flat sheets, which slipped off and exposed heavily soiled mattresses. We were there from about 1 to 7 a.m. and waited for the desk to open so we could complain. We had paid $150. The staff member said management would have to handle it. A few days later they offered 30 percent. I asked for a full refund because of the safety concerns, and they refused, then withdrew the 30 percent offer. I'll follow up with business licensing in moose jaw, OH&S, the BBB, and any other platform I can find. No one should have to go through this. I can't believe this business is operating. Stay clear!

The room was dirty and barely passable when we checked in. I'd called ahead to ask whether the pool and hot tub were available and working, and was told they were. At the pool, we found a slimy film on the water from leaks in the roof, while the hot tub had no jets and wasn't even warm. I went to the front desk to ask why they'd said everything worked. The response was, "ya sorry it’s not working," with a fake smile. Avoid this place at all costs.
