Oceanhillside B&B

The setting was so lovely, with flowers and beautiful views, and Robert and Maria made us feel very welcome. Our room and bed were comfortable, and the breakfast was incredible. Our stay in Digby was especially enjoyable thanks to this beautiful BnB. We highly recommend them.

We liked being outside town, where the road was fairly quiet except around ferry time. Our maroon room had nice water views, was well equipped, and had a comfortable bed. The house sits in a lovely spot, but its exterior needs upkeep and things feel tired. Bob was very nice and told us stories about being an internationally acclaimed chef, though the breakfast was just OK. The worst part was hearing his wife Maria talking and laughing very loudly on the phone in a room below us from 8:30 until almost 11:00 pm.

We’d planned on one night at Bob and Maria's B&B, but the beautifully decorated house, its view, and its owners charmed us into staying another. It was the highlight of our two-week trip across PEI and Nova Scotia, and we left hoping to return someday. It feels like a labor of love, a hidden gem for anyone who loves romantic places. Bob and Maria, thank you for the warm welcome and goodbye, the excellent service, and the delicious sweet homemade breakfast. The scones and lemon curd are to die for. You’ve put so much hard work and attention to detail into creating such an amazing home!

Bob warmly greeted us when we arrived, and he gave excellent recommendations for dinner and sightseeing. We stayed in the Garden Suite, which had everything we needed, and the hosts also let us use a living room. The yard and gardens were beautiful and inviting. Bob is a retired executive chef, and breakfast was delicious. The B & B is very convenient to the ferry terminal. Bob and Maria are great hosts, and we certainly recommend this B & B.
