The stairs down to the water felt extremely unsafe, and this chalet isn't actually waterfront as the listing said. The kayaks were in awful shape, with a broken paddle left in the walkway. Outside, every chair was broken or rusty, and the fire pit was in such bad condition that its busted lid meant we couldn't use it. Inside was filthy. Our feet turned black on the wood floor, even though we never wore shoes inside, and there was old gum near the kitchen tiles. Dust coated the walls around the living room, there was moss in the upstairs shower, holes in the downstairs walls, and the couches were badly dented. The photos in the ad were very misleading. We also couldn't watch TV because no channels were connected. It rained all weekend, and we'd planned to watch the F1 qualifications. For the $2,500 we paid, we were very disappointed. I really don't recommend this place.

The chalet was well kept and had everything we needed, so we really enjoyed our stay. We had booked for Easter weekend, but the ice storm affected our plans and we asked to arrive a day early. The host let us do that at no extra charge. Thanks again!

The location is wow, and the place itself is nice, but a lot needs maintenance for what they charge, $1,500 for a weekend. The septic tank smelled so bad we had to shut the windows on that side. Many windows were missing the parts needed to open them, and the parking area is tiny. The place may fit 15 people, but there might only be room for four cars. The hot tub had low water and neither its lights nor radio worked. The basement radio and docking station also didn't work. There's one decent sized TV and one very small one. The BBQ had a thick layer of carbon buildup and was so dirty it was a challenge to use. The kitchen could use a few more things, like tongs. These issues didn't affect my vacation much, but they should be addressed.

The cottage was stunning, and we all had a wonderful time. The lake could be a bit cleaner. The manager came down to sort out our WiFi and was a nice guy.

The views were beautiful, and the spacious dining and living area worked well. There are six bedrooms, a hot tub, and lovely baths. It's an amazing chalet, well suited to a bachelorette or other special occasion.
