We ended up all 14 sleeping in the same room because we were scared of the mice. They were everywhere overnight, getting into our food bags, in the bathrooms, and even chewing the toilet paper. I had to share a tiny single bed with my husband because we were too afraid to sleep downstairs. On arrival, the access code didn't work, and no one answered the phone. We were left outside for over two hours in -20°C weather. Management then wouldn't admit the mistake or offer any refund. They said mice were “normal” and there was nothing they could do. What should've been a relaxing getaway became a nightmare. This was the worst chalet experience I've ever had. Absolutely not recommended.

We got there around 7 pm and were given the wrong code. It was about -15 outside, and it took roughly an hour before they answered and sent the right one. Later that night I found mice in the kitchen and bathroom. There were lots of traps around, so they knew about the mice, but said it was normal and nothing could be done. The chalet is nice, but paying this much to have mice is definitely not acceptable.

The chalet itself is fairly comfortable, but the listing gave a very misleading picture of the lake access. The photos make it look as if the bush has been cleared and suggest you can get to the lake. In reality, there's a very steep driveway and road leading to what is just a swampy trail, nowhere near a lake. The outdoor deck is rotting and needs replacing, and its railing feels flimsy and unsafe. The refrigerator is far too small for a chalet advertised for 14 people, and the kitchen barely has enough utensils and cookware. I've stayed in plenty of cottages and chalets over the years, and this wasn't what the ad represented. I wouldn't recommend it. Stay somewhere else.

The chalet is beautiful and spacious, but it doesn't really fit 14 people. We didn't have enough comforters, and customer service couldn't provide more when we called. The internet was poor, and getting to the lake was dangerous. The cleaning crew had done a good job inside, but there was damage we noticed on arrival and litter around the area that they couldn't do much about. I'd encourage renters to take care of the place. This one's a mixed review for me, with plenty of room for improvement.

It's a beautiful chalet, though the outside is in rough shape. The wooden patio is rotten, with some planks partly broken. The so-called lake access isn't great, to put it mildly.
