The canoes and soft gray sand made for a really refreshing day at the beach. We were lucky with the weather too, bright sunshine all day after a misty sunset on our first evening. Our family of six stayed in a three-bedroom bungalow with every convenience, and it was so comfortable.

The shoreline was lovely, but getting there meant walking down a hill, crossing the road, then following a path. From the cottage there wasn't even a water view, so it didn't feel like a “Seaside” cottage as the name led me to expect. The place itself was very clean and welcoming.

The setting was quiet and scenic, and my cabin had loads of space. I stayed at Lonely Rock for two nights while traveling around Nova Scotia in July. Everything was immaculately clean. I’d be hard pressed to find anything wrong.

The proprietors were friendly and helpful, and getting to the beach was easy. It’s a gorgeous, secluded spot. The bungalows are clean, roomy, and comfortably appointed.
