We weren’t expecting us, even though we’d booked ahead. There were no choices for breakfast timing, and at checkout we were told it was CASH ONLY, despite our belief that we’d prepaid by credit card. We had to go find an ATM and hope we hadn’t also been charged on the card. Bring eye shades if you need to sleep past dawn, since there are no curtains. Drinking water in the bedroom would’ve been welcome. The asparagus omelette slice at breakfast was delicious, but I’d have liked more protein choices instead of heavy, high-calorie muffins and toast that was already buttered.

The location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk downtown. Our room was warm, cozy, and very clean and quiet. The shared area felt like home, with a fireplace and comfortable furniture. Cathy made an amazing breakfast and was an exceptional host. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this B & B.

We spent three nights here and felt right at home. The hosts were fabulous, and the full breakfasts were excellent and suited our dietary needs. There was convenient parking in the backyard, surrounded by lovely gardens, plus a great deck. From this quiet, tree-lined spot, we walked to the main street, theater, shops, and restaurants. For farther trips, we took our bikes along the mostly paved, flat riverside paths to cafes and wineries. We found all of Niagara on the Lake beautiful, with an idyllic, park-like feel. Antique Slumber is absolutely charming, with excellent quality and thoughtful touches throughout. Highly recommend, and we’d return again and again!

The hosts were warm and lovely company, and they kept the place in great shape while still giving us our privacy. We spent four days in the area and enjoyed the whole stay so much that we'd happily do it again.

I booked again for next year before leaving, which says a lot about my first six-night stay with Cathy and Colin. I was so glad to find them in Niagara on the Lake. They're gracious hosts, the food was delicious, and their home is beautiful. The location also made it easy to shop and visit all the Shaw theaters.
