Old Ivy Walk

Phillip made our stay so pleasant. He let us know the room was ready early and said we could arrive whenever we liked. Even though it was hot outside, the room was comfortably cool. Breakfast came in a handy container, perfect for an early picnic in the yard or at the park, though we could also have eaten in our room. My husband and I enjoyed three days at The Historic Old Ivy Walk B and B the weekend before Canada Day. It’s ideally located a few blocks from historic downtown Niagara-On-The-Lake and Lake Onterio. We spent a week at this lovely historic property, and Phillip was a great, very accommodating host. The rooms were lovely, with excellent beds and bath facilities. Breakfast was very good, delivered as a picnic or room service, with creative choices each day. It’s perfectly placed for the lakefront park or a walk, the theatre, and strolling downtown. We’ll recommend it to friends and family 😊

The home cooked breakfast was lovely and beautifully packaged, though an 8:30 breakfast felt too late for us. I almost feel bad complaining because the meal itself was so nice. Our host was courteous and had thought of everything. The room was clean and lovely, with all the amenities we could ask for. Anything you need is there.

I love the Niagara by the lake area, it’s beautiful. But as soon as we got in the car, my husband said he didn’t want to stay at any more inns. We like wearing our shoes, and were told to take them off when entering the B&B. There’s no common area, so you’re in your room, where you hear every flush and the front door opening and closing. The shower is small and the doors are off track. You’ll get a wake-up knock for your box breakfast. B&box lunch.
