The hotel team were thoughtful and clearly cared about making sure our needs were met. Their easygoing hospitality and attention to detail made the stay feel personal. The décor mixes heritage charm with modern sophistication, and the whole place felt warm, luxurious, and full of character. Chef Chris Babcock’s breakfasts were a highlight, beautifully made and presented. He’s changed how we think about pancakes, yes, pancakes. Having every meal prepared by Chef Chris would be a gift. A flawless stay that left us wanting more.

The Scotsman Hotel is in the heart of charming Niagara-on-the-Lake, combining old-world character with modern luxury. The tasteful décor and attentive service created a warm, elegant feel. Our room was beautifully designed, comfortable, and peaceful after a day exploring town or nearby wineries. Deanna & Kim were welcoming and attentive, and added a personal touch to the stay.

The shower and sink pressure were just perfect, almost like Niagara Falls. Showering felt like heaven, and the bed felt like clouds, perfect for a quick nap. The Scotsman’s charm and the warmth of the staff and owners made our stay unforgettable. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, and every meal was comforting, thoughtfully presented, and exceptional. We also had a lovely dinner at the Prince of Wales Restaurant. The arranged activities included tastings at two wineries, a fantastic performance of A Christmas Carol at the local theatre, and a chance to meet the cast afterward. We also had a private dinner, toured the McArthur Estate, and visited Fallsview Casino and the OLG Theatre. Niagara Falls is nearby, and the scenic drive along the Niagara River lets you see many local wineries. It was beautiful and well worth the drive. The Scotsman has suites that can be sectioned off for extra privacy. It’s a great choice for couples or business travelers looking for comfort, quiet, good service, and a mix of relaxation and premium experiences. Every detail seemed well planned, and the location is great for enjoying Niagara-on-the-Lake.

We felt pampered throughout our long-weekend stay at The Scotsman Hotel in NOTL for Canadian Thanksgiving and a birthday. Deanna and Larissa were warm and professional, making sure we had everything we needed, and the staff and owners clearly take pride in the place. The hotel was quiet, private, welcoming, and beautifully designed, including its well-kept outdoor spaces. Our bed was luxurious and comfortable, the towels, robes, and slippers were plush with branding on point, and the china and linens felt decadent. Breakfasts were delicious and gourmet, and I was given a beautiful birthday cake. We’ve stayed at many other hotels in the area, but they pale in comparison.
