It was quiet and there was plenty of parking. The hotel is near North Bay beach, and if you're going skidooing, there's an entrance onto Lake Nipissing right across the road. It's at the bottom of North Bay, so having a car helps. It's not right in the centre, and you'll need to travel to get to places. The room was clean and roomy, with a large desk, a comfortable armchair, and a mini fridge. The employees were pleasant and accommodating.

The staff were quick to help when we found the first room had a strong marijuana smell. It was overwhelming and unusable for my son and me, but they moved us to another room right away, which I appreciated. I was greeted warmly on arrival, though the waiver about extra charges for smoking or leaving a mess felt a bit off-putting. Once we were settled, the spacious room and its mini fridge and microwave made things more comfortable. The rooms are noisy, and I could hear people in the hallway. There are no elevators either, so carrying a cooler and luggage up the stairs was difficult.

I stayed there on April 7th 2026 after reading lots of bad reviews. Maybe the ownership changed. The place was clean and decent, the staff were nice to chat with, and the free breakfast was actually pretty good. I'd definitely go back 🤙

When we're in North Bay, this is still one of our favorite places to stay. The rooms are clean, and the continental breakfast has a good variety. There are also lots of stores nearby.

We only stayed briefly after rain interrupted our drive to the campground. The website photos don't match what you get, and the hotel is dated with no elevator. The front desk clerk was gracious and let us look at a room before we booked, which was very nice. Our room was very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The shower had just the right temperature and pressure. There wasn't much to watch on TV, and breakfast was average, though the waffle maker was a nice bonus. The staff were helpful, and we were happy with our quick stop.
