The breakfast room was spacious and surprisingly attractive, and it was clear they put care into the breakfast. Our room was spotless, and the service was great. We only needed somewhere to sleep on our last island night before heading home, but even though this was probably the cheapest place we booked on the trip, the owners clearly cared about making the stay comfortable. The TV and AC both worked fine. The AC is a wall unit set a little far from the bed, so it did the job without making the room cold. The tub and shower were unusually roomy for an inn or motel, and very clean too. They were also happy to take our details and mail back a device I accidentally left behind, even though we were already hours away. Really appreciated that.

By the third night, our pug was showing signs of overheating. We cooled her down with water and took her to the car for some proper AC. The next morning, my elderly parents went home with her. They were exhausted from trying to sleep in the heat, and my mother couldn't manage it anymore because of her breathing problems. The rest of us tried to continue the vacation, but came back to another sauna and decided to leave early, giving up the last night without asking for a refund. The woman at the desk seemed sure she was right about the AC. I handed her the keys and told her she'd won. Her office was set to 21 degrees, while the cabin had been around 29. We left and won't be back. We arrived August 10 for four nights in cottage Room 28. On the first day, the AC wasn't cooling properly, so I told the woman at the front desk. She came over and set the mini split to what she called the correct setting. She admitted she didn't know much about it, but said that would fix it and that we weren't using it properly. She also suggested the second wall unit would help. That old unit was meant for a small room, while the loft was a sizeable space with two beds at the far end. It was switched on, but seemed at the end of its life and barely capable of cooling anything. We went out for the day and came back to a very hot room. The mini split ran for maybe five minutes before blowing warm air. I tried explaining that, but it didn't seem to get through. She said they'd never had a complaint before. We were four adults, a teenager and a pug trying to manage the heat and enjoy our trip. If you hear that no one has ever complained about the AC in that cottage, show them this review.

LinaLee was a lovely hostess, and there’s laundry on site. The motel is older, though it was clean. Breakfast was a light continental one, included with the stay. The pool is above ground and unheated.

We had wifi and a very quiet stay on the lower level. The staff were friendly and polite, and the location just outside downtown Summerside worked well. This is an older, simple motel, but it had what we needed for sleeping and shelter. Our clean room had two bedroom areas with two queen beds, plus a sofa bed, a small stove, a bar fridge, a table for two, a desk, nightstands and a wall mounted TV. Towels and linens were fresh.

The host made sure I’d be comfortable and was very accommodating when I booked at the last minute. It’s a pet friendly place and a great home base for visiting PEI, with everything you need just minutes away. I’ll stay here again when I’m back in that part of the island.
