Hampton Inn by Hilton Kamloops

The two women at the front desk during our stays were exceptional, and everyone we met was friendly and accommodating. We were here for two weekends in November while dealing with a family emergency, and, unfamiliar with local hotels, felt lucky to find this one. Our bright, clean room was upgraded unexpectedly, giving us extra sink and counter space that we really appreciated. Breakfast was a welcome bonus, and the all-day lobby coffee and comfortable seating helped a lot. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we’d recommend the hotel.

The room was dirty, and I didn’t bring it up until checkout because I was too tired to ask to move. The bed seemed clean enough, so I just tried not to touch anything else. In room 328 on Feb 1 and 2, we checked in early, left our bags, went about our business, and came back in the evening to sleep without really looking around first. The bedding seemed okay, but the rest wasn’t: a dirty bathroom door and blinds, something gross on the air conditioner, and old garbage on the window sill. The place felt run down too. They saw my review, got in touch right away to talk, and made amends. Things happen, and they acted quickly. I’m sure they’ll do better, and I’ll stay again in the future to see if it improves. Updating service to 5 stars. The cleaning on that floor needs attention.

We were in town for a U13 hockey tournament and had a great stay. The staff were awesome, the rooms comfortable and nice, and the kids absolutely loved the pool. Breakfast was great too. I’d highly recommend it for a tournament in Kamloops.

The rooms are decent, pretty standard Hampton style. Breakfast is like the continental spread you get everywhere, though the seating area is nice and tucked away from the entrance. I didn’t try the pool slide, but it looks great for kids. The elevator was my one real complaint. It’s painfully slow, even the doors take ages to open. We had a good laugh about it.
