The property itself is fine, but the way the host spoke to us made the stay hard to forget. We knew putting the futon on the lawn was wrong, apologized as soon as it was pointed out, and were ready to fix it right away. Still, the host kept yelling and swearing, even after several apologies. It felt like a verbal attack, not a respectful conversation about a rule. My girlfriend became visibly anxious during the confrontation. The four of us stayed quiet because we didn't want things to escalate, but the hostility continued. Afterward, we had been talking about putting in $200 as a goodwill gesture, even though the mistake was minor. The way we were treated changed our minds. We own businesses ourselves and understand that hosts have rules to enforce. That's why this response stood out. No hard feelings, but it's fair to share what happened so others know what to expect. Respectful communication matters during a stay. Cheers!

Our two boys especially love the sandy beach, and this is such a good place for kids. The owners are incredible and happy to help with whatever you need. We started as cottagers and now have a trailer here. We don't plan on leaving! The cottages are clean and well cared for, with plenty of yard for games or sitting by the campfire. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get away.

The Saturday night fireworks and the kids' game and corn roast on Sunday are awesome. My family and I have been coming here for 16 years, and the kids always have a great time. The people are amazing, too. Chris and eillen are wonderful. Thanks for having us back every year.

The lake is beautiful, and there are plenty of nearby places for day trips and adventures. We used to rent cottages here each summer, and the kids loved it so much that we bought a trailer to spend more of our summers here. It's very kid friendly, and everyone feels like family.

There's a big lake for fishing, and the two cottages my family used had probably the nicest views. The people in the other cottages seemed friendly, and the owners were friendly too. It's a nice area to camp, and we plan to come back. Northbrook isn't far if you need more supplies from Foodland.
