Cedar Vista Motel

We stayed in the trailer with family and had fun. It was private and clean, and the price wasn’t bad. Everything was there and working properly: stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, radio, AC, washroom, two sinks, and a nice dining table for four. Five people can sleep comfortably. The room was clean and comfortable, and both the AC and Keurig worked great. Thanks for the coffee and tea, and for making our stay enjoyable. My mom and I came over the August long weekend, and we’ll definitely be back. We arrived early, and since the previous guests had checked out early, Jerry had the room ready for us. I’d requested early check-in if possible, and he was happy to accommodate us. He welcomed us when we arrived, and the owner, Alex, was welcoming too. I had several questions and requests, and Jerry and Alex were both glad to answer and help throughout our stay. Thank you, Jerry and Alex!

Jerry made us feel at home with his friendly, professional manner and readiness to help. Cedar Vista Motel was peaceful, clean, and affordable, a great place to unwind after a long day. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and all the amenities worked perfectly. I had a fantastic stay and highly recommend Cedar Vista Motel. If you get the chance, talk to Jerry. He’s the best!

The power and water went out within two hours of our arrival, and we had neither until 3:30am that night. The owner, Alex, who lives hours away in Brampton, had no generator or backup water. He said he’d called the electricity company and that I could contact Booking.com about the reservation. The property manager, Jerri, was the one helpful person. He helped us start a fire to pass the time and offered to get water from the grocery store across the street. I filed a complaint with booking.com, and they contacted Alex about the outage. He denied the issues and demanded proof there had been no electricity or water. Absolutely atrocious. The place felt sketchy and disastrous, and whatever you believe in, help you if Alex won’t refund you for the terrible stay and service. There were funky smells, sticky surfaces, questionable water before it stopped, litter everywhere, and towels and linens that seemed well past their natural life. The three-bedroom cabin shares walls with the main office, separated only by a door. From the kitchen you can go directly into the third bedroom, and you can hear people in the office. It was uncomfortable being so close to the office and Jerri’s living space, since he lives right there. Avoid this place and look elsewhere.
